An America I Can Believe In - Lady Gaga Superbowl National Anthem Video
/Lady Gaga just delivered one of the most flawless National Anthem’s in the history of big celebrities and pop stars taking on the Star Spangled Banner. It was really Whitney level for me. It has to be an honor & a challenge to sing the National Anthem in front of the largest Audience of the year. We have certainly seen a share of vocalists deliver a rendition that seems more Francis Scott ‘Out of Key’ because it was overworked, full of nerves or missing lyrics.
Lady Gaga reminded us all she is professionally & talented beyond belief. She brought a real emotion to the field. Can I also point out that that red glittery pant suit was a endorsement for Hillary Clinton for President. Would it be presumptuous to request that version at Hillary’s inauguration.
Then we segue to the Beyoncé - Coldplay - Bruno Mars halftime show which definitely had an light, bright & lovey air with LGBT & Black Lives Matter undertones. I think it is great that the Halftime show, which to me has always been like the rebuttal at the President’s State of the Union, contrasted The NFL’s status quo. You know very well the last time I even saw more than six seconds of a football game was last Superbowl. The halftime is designed to appeal to us, #HelloFromTheOtherSide. While it was not the glitzy, most over the top, shocking Superbowl Halftime Show in the history of halftime shows (BTW loved the montage to former halftime shows) it had great spirit & a wonderful message.
