Love & Luxury - Las Vegas Anniversary
/We celebrated our third wedding anniversary in Las Vegas. It may not seem like the obvious choice for an anniversary BUT I love Vegas, for me it the place to luxuriate. I am not too big into the casino or clubs there, but to me Vegas is a shiny diamond with many facets.
Luxuriate. Vegas is one of the most luxurious destinations in the country. The hotel & hospitality game are top tier, because they want to bring in the high rollers to spend in the casino. I always stay at the Encore at the Wynn, because it is one of the nicest hotels. The suites are spacious with sweeping views, the bathroom is larger than my first apartment in college. Plus, you are not just in the lap or luxury in your room, the grounds, amenities and pools a comfortable place to hold court.
Dine. Vegas has attracted the world's leading chefs. We dined at Bartolotta at the Encore the night of our anniversary. Of course the food & service was amazing, but the setting was exceptional. We had a private cabana outside along a private lagoon. It was enchanting & perfect for our anniversary. Also they were so accommodating with dietary restrictions.
Dazzle. Las Vegas is full of attractions, which means full of photo ops. Everything from the Carousel made of flowers at the Wynn, or the panoramic strip views, to dining overlooking the Bellagio Fountain Show, keep your phone charged & take photos to remember your anniversary. Check out Yellow Tail at the Bellagio for the best view of the fountain ever!
Entertain. This oasis has attracted some of the biggest headliners not to mention top dancers, vocalists, athletes & all the crews & production people. This trip we saw Celine who has recently returned to Vegas. I mean does it get more romantic than Celine Dion & an anniversary. It was a life changing moment for me.
Shop. Find ultra luxurious boutiques at City Center, Wynn, Palazzo & The Forum Shops. One of Six Ginvenchy stores in the US can be found in Vegas. At the same time, I have to say, the Forever21 at the Fashion Show mall was the main event for me. I never can bring myself to shop at Forever21 in the city - the crowds, the mess, it's just too much. But in Vegas mid week, I had the entire 3 level store to myself.
Sun. With virtually 100% sunny days a year, you can breathe a sigh of relief and count on the weather. I love poolside fabulous & the Wynn & Encore deliver. Plush towels, lush landscaping, complimentary water & refreshments like chilled fruit allowed me to read the September Issue from cover to cover in complete luxury.
